Objectives

The students articulated the qualities that make something cute, other things cuter, and some things not cute at all.

TS compiled a list of the characteristics of cute as a way to understand the word's meaning.

TS began painting with water to establish the shape of the object on a larger scale before using paint.

TS used the black paper with white paint to create a strong light and dark contrast.

TS grasped the term chrascuro and the effects this technique creates in painting

TS made connections between the notion of scale and its different conceptual andaesthetic expressions (i.e. scale to portray power, vulnerability, religious iconography, family relationships, etc).
